This very important question is the basis for my therapy practice.  Navigating difficult life circumstances such as divorce, job loss, or change in general,  identifying who you are and making choices consistent with your values is a guiding principle in finding balance again. I am here to support you and provide person-centered therapy where you aren’t living my  answers but living yours.

I earned my bachelor of science in psychology in 1994 and master of social work in 1996, both from Radford University.  I have been practicing as a licensed clinical social worker since 1998 in a variety of settings and bring these experiences to my practice to help you define and achieve your counseling goals. I have received training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), yoga for anxiety and depression, and Subtle Yoga for therapists and helping professionals.   I am a registered yoga teacher and have been teaching since 2013 after completing my 200h and later 300h teacher trainings.  My teaching focus is restorative yoga to help manage stress, anxiety, and to improve sleep. I am also a certified meditation teacher. If you would like to incorporate yoga or meditation into your healing path, I am happy to help.
